Think about yoga, and all that you can picture is Surya Namaskar, Pranayam, yoga poses, yoga mat, yoga pant and most often – a flexible body. But yoga is not just about bending and twisting and touching your nose to the knees.
The term Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means to yoke, to unite. In simple sense, it means uniting the body and the mind with the soul. In deeper sense it means uniting the soul with the supreme self.
But this term in the Western world often denotes a modern form of hatha yoga and yoga as exercise, consisting largely of the postures or asanas.
Have been with Shankara kala Kendra Yoga since 2&1/2 yrs. It has changed my life for the better. Their flexible timings cater to every person’s needs and I have no words to express my thanks to our teacher Dhruv who is the best I have ever seen!
Yoga is the best form of exercise and I would recommend it to everyone and all age groups.
